ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Jim embarked on his drumming career at 14, taking drum lessons from Jerry Ricci in Merrick, NY and has never looked back.  Since then, he has studied with drumming greats Jim Chapin, Al Miller, Rod Morgenstein, Joe Morello, Frank Marino and more.  While living  in NY, Jim taught at the highly acclaimed Long Island Drum Center for over ten years.  During that time he wrote "The Complete Book of Drum Fills", which has sold over 25,000 copies.  Jim now lives in Sonoma, California, where he owns and operates the Drum School of Sonoma, attracting students from the San Francisco Bay Area.  Jim plays with a variety of musical groups enjoying  the diversity of playing many different music styles. Jim authored his second best selling book, "The Best Double Bass Drum Book Ever", in 2007.
